DMCA Policy
Last updated: 14 October 2026
KomikID respects the rights of creators and publishers. We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), and we handle notices from rights holders in other countries the same way.
Sending a notice
If you believe material available through KomikID infringes your copyright, email our copyright agent with:
- your physical or electronic signature, as the copyright owner or someone authorised to act for them;
- the copyrighted work you believe is infringed;
- the material you want removed, with enough detail for us to find it: the title, chapter numbers and, if possible, a screenshot;
- your name, postal address, phone number and email address;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
Use the subject line “DMCA notice: KomikID”. We review every complete notice and remove or disable access to the material it identifies.
Counter-notice
If something you posted, such as a comment or an avatar, was removed by mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice with:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- the material that was removed and where it appeared;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification;
- your name, address and phone number, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts for your address and to accept service from the person who sent the original notice.
If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material after 10 to 14 business days unless the person who sent the notice tells us they have taken the matter to court.
Repeat infringers
We close the accounts of users who repeatedly post infringing material.

A false notice or counter-notice can make you liable for damages. If you aren't sure that material infringes your rights, consider getting legal advice first.
